How do I use the *252# platform?
To use the platform, simply choose the service you would like from the variety available. For example: When buying Airtime, Enter the number you are buying for(Receiver)
, enter the number that will be used to buy the airtime(Sender), enter the amount and send. The funds will be deducted from the senders phone and airtime sent to the receiver.
Which networks are supported on *252#?
Supported networks are MTN, Airtel and Africell.
I did not get a mobile money prompt on my phone. What do I do?
The mobile money prompt is a payment approval session that appears on your mobile phone, when you are paying for goods or services. The prompt appears just that way you would be prompted by
a mobile money agent when doing withdraws. This is the same when you are accessing the services on *252#.
The prompt usually appears on your phone within 2 seconds from payment initiation by 252 for MTN and Africell numbers and about 5-10 seconds for Airtel numbers.
If the prompt does not appear on your device, simply dial *165#, choose 8. My account, then choose 2. My approvals.
What next after approving my payment?
For successful transactions on *252#. You will receive an SMS notification from your service provider informing you that funds have been deducted from your mobile money to *252#, followed by another notification message
from *252# SMS, notifiying you that your payment has been received and the service delivered to the recipient.
What are the charges for the services?
*252# uses the standard and upto date charges offered by the various network service providers, that is MTN, Airtel and Africell depending on the goods or services that you need.
How do I sign up for loan services?
Since *252# is in partnership with the various loan companies on the platform, you cannot sign up directly from *252#. However, we do connect you to the services providers who are able to register you
